Advanced Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy- CBT, Counselling, Guided Imagery, Relaxation and Stress Management CourseThere are 3 different Advanced Courses which all have a CBT foundation with different hypnotic applications: 1. Gestalt & Role Play in trance principles 2009, 2. Hypnoanalysis & Regression principles 2010. 3. Ericksonian principles 2011, The 2011 Advanced Courses will include principles from the work of Professor Milton Erickson. Erickson was a professor of both psychiatry & psychology. Certificate of Advanced Clinical Hypnosis Each Advanced Course is different from the other advanced courses in that it includes different core principles in addition to CBT, such as Gestalt and Role Play techniques. You will learn skills which are complimentary to those in the first clinical course. The 3 advanced course are rotated, one each year. The other 2 advanced courses have either Regression & Hypnoanalysis or Gestalt Principles as core skills along with CBT in their matrix. Date of the 6 day course: Please see the timetable. Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm daily. VENUES: The advanced course will be held in Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne in 2011. The proposed Sydney venue for 2011 is : The proposed Melbourne venue is : The Collins St Baptist Church Collins St, Melbourne. The proposed Brisbane venue is : Mercy Place, Simpsons Rd, Bardon. These courses are designed to expand your range of skills. You will find these skills of great benefit in your clinical work, as an aid to any of the following: Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy including CBT, Counselling, Relaxation, Meditation or Bio-Feedback. As with the General Course, Advanced Courses are restricted to registered tertiary trained health professionals such as psychologists, doctors, nurses & midwives, occupational therapists or dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors & osteopaths who have completed an initial clinical hypnosis course, such as the Clinical (General) Course conducted by the College of Medical Hypnosis. COURSE ACCREDITATIONS: The following accreditations were made for 2008 & 2009 courses, & similar applications for accreditation will be made for 2011 courses: The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for vocationally registered doctors attending the courses for 6 Active Learning Modules (ALM's) each worth 40 points as Category 1 points. Vocationally registered G.P.'s require a minimum of 80 Category 1 points per triennium, ie 2 ALM's. The Advanced Courses count towards ongoing mental health requirement points for doctors already credentialed to use the Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) with Medicare Australia. The R.A.C.G.P only guarantees point allocation when both the participants and the convener comply with R.A.C.G.P requirements. The Australian College of Mental health Nurses (ACMHN) for 48 CPE points. The General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) for both level 1 & level 2 mental health skills training. Level 2 is also termed Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) training, and enables doctors to register to use the FPS related mental health Medicare item numbers. The Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine for 30 Extended Skills & 30 Core Skills PD points. The Australian Psychological Society (APS) for APS members to allocate 42 generalist or 42 specialist Professional Development points with the Health & counselling colleges. In 1995, the New South Wales Psychologists Board approved the Courses for conditionally registered psychologists, for 20 credit hours. The Psychology Board has turned the function of course credit hour allocation over to individual supervisors, who now decide on the number of credit hours to be allocated to any particular course. The 20 credit hours previously allocated give a guide for supervisors in making their credit hour allocation. The Australian Association of Social Workers for double credit hours = 96 CPE points. The Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (OT Australia) for 12 CPD points. The College of Nursing for 68 CPD hours. The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) CPD Program, approval no. 1419 under Category 2/Level 2 2 Credits per hour as 96 credit points. (Accreditation does not represent endorsement or approval by the ANZCA of the activity.) Physicians can allocate CPD points for this course. The Australian College of Midwives for 45 PD credit points under the midPLUS programme. The Australian Practice Nurses Association for CPD hours. Physicians can allocate CPD points for this course. Psychiatrists can allocate 48 credit hours for MOPS. It is intended that applications will be made to The Australian Dental Association, The Australian Physiotherapists Association, The Chiropractors Association of Australia and the Australian Osteopathic Association later in 2009. COURSE STRUCTURE & INCLUSIONS: Each Course is held over six days. The Course times are 8.30 am until 5.30 pm with a 1 hour lunch break and a 15 minute break during both the middle of the morning and the middle of the afternoon. The Course content includes the course handbook, a textbook and course meals. COURSE FEE AND DISCOUNTS: The 2 month early bird fee for fees which are paid in full 2 months in advance is $set in late 2010 which includes $10 % GST. 1 month early bird fully paid fee $to be set, including GST.
