Advanced Clinical Course in Hypnosis, Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-Cognitive (CBT), Guided Imagery, Relaxation & Stress Managment.Certificate of Advanced Clinical Hypnosis This year's Advanced Clinical Course is one of three advanced courses which are rotated, one each year. This course is designed to expand your range of clinical skills with hypnotherapy, psychotherpy & counselling. The Advanced Clinical Course will be held in Sydney. Brisbane & Melbourne. The skills which you will learn in this course can help you to tailor your therapy specifically to the person requiring therapy. This course is clinically orientated, to help you to be able to apply these skills with appropriate patients when you return to your practice immediately after the course. Each technique will be practised in groups of 2 or 3 and will include ego strengthening. You will develop confidence in using a wide range of practical skills Once again we will have sessions of group relaxation for ego strengthening designed to:
As with the General Course, participation is restricted to registered tertiary trained health professionals such as psychologists, doctors, nurses & midwives, dentists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths & chiropractors who have completed an initial clinical hypnosis course. COURSE ACCREDITATIONS An application has been made for courses to be approved for Vocationally Registered (VR) general medical practitioners (GPs) by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for 6 Active Learning Modules each worth 40 Continiung Professional Development (CPD) points. Total = 240 CPD points *. YET TO BE ADJUDICATED. An application has been submitted for the Advanced Courses to be approved by the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collboration (GPMHSC) for both levels 1 & 2 mental health training. Level 2 is also called Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) for GPs to apply to become registered with Medicare Australia to use the FPS mental health Medicare item numbers. YET TO BE ADJUDICATED. Approved by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) for 48 CPE points. An application has been made for this course to be approval by the Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine for 30 extended skills & 30 core skills PD points. YET TO BE ADJUDICATED. Approved by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for generalist PD points and for 96 specialist PD points (category 2) by the College of Health Psychologists plus awaiting news from 3 other colleges. The New South Wales Psychologists Board approved the Courses for conditionally registered psychologists in 1995 for 20 credit hours. The 20 credit hours previously allocated gives a guide for supervisors in making their credit hour allocation. An application will again be made for re-approval by the Australian Association of Social Workers for double credit points = 96 points. An application will again be made with OT Australia for occupational therapists to allocate 12 credit points for this course. Psychiatrists can allocate 48 credit hours for this course. Approved by the College of Nursing for 68 CPD hours. Approved by the Australian College of Midwives for 45 PD credit points under the midPLUS programme. Approved by The Australian Practice Nurses Association for CPD hours. Physicians can allocate CPD points for this course. Psychiatrists can allocate 48 credit hours for MOPS. It is intended that applications will be made to The Australian Dental Association, The Australian Physiotherapists Association, The Chiropractors Association of Australia and the Australian Osteopathic Association later in 2010.
Included in the course The Certificate of Advanced Clinical Hypnosis, lunch, morning and afternoon teas, the advanced course handbook, a textbook and good company with colleagues. The Course will be held over 6 days.
The 1 month early bird fee will be $1899 for fees fully paid 1 month in advance. This fee includes GST. The full fee will be $1999. This fee includes GST. $200 early bird discount when paid in full 2 months prior to the course or $100 early bird dicount for 1 month full payment prior to the course. Post graduates who have completed courses or workshops conducted by the College of Medical Hypnosis for a total of 104 hours are eligible for the: Somnambulism & Rapid InductionsUsing Somnambulism Reinforce your skills with rapid trance induction and deepening. Gain confidence having the hypnotised person talking whilst hypnotised. Learn to recognise the signs of somnambulism.
Time and Age RegressionUse the trance state to recall moments of pleasure or success from the past.
HypnoanalysisPositive realistic reinterpretation is used to replace negative cognitive distortions.
Catharsis - AbreactionReinforce your confidence in how to handle an abreaction. How to reduce, stop, delay or facilitate the release of pent up emotion. Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT)An overview of the principles of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy is followed by the use of CBT in trance, to reinforce positive, realistic attitudes and healthy behaviours.
